Coaching
Many adults are familiar with, and often, more comfortable, using a coaching approach to personal and professional change and improvement.

Coaching is forward moving and future directed and focuses on a person's strengths, life purpose and goals. Coaching emphasizes action, accountability, and follow through in pursuit of individual-initiated change. It assists individuals to close gaps between where they are and where they would like to be.

Coaching, like therapy, supports personal and professional growth and development and emphasizes unconditional positive self regard. Coaches help individuals to create visions and goals for ALL aspects of their lives and to create multiple strategies to support and achieve those goals.

Common coaching topics include:

-
Professional growth and direction

-
Values clarification and alignment

-
Enhancing communication and relationship skills

-
Navigating organization politics

-
Improving management and leadership competence

-
Eliminating self-induced obstacles to growth and progress

-
Setting and maintaining better boundaries

-
Improving your emotional vocabulary

-
Adapting to and managing change

-
Becoming more emotionally intelligent

As both a Certified Professional Coach (PCC) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I employ a range of perspectives and approaches to help my coaching clients access their personal power, and to imagine, design and implement their desired future states.
